UPDATED 9/4/20

In light of the recent Corona Virus outbreak all Futsal games will be suspended until at least May 31st 2020.

Although most of our Summer competitions have been completed for those still running we will aim to complete these once we are able to commence play again if possible.

Our winter competition was due to start the week of April 27th will still go ahead but with a DELAYED start, DATE TBC. We will post regular updates about the start of our winter season as much as we can. As soon as we have a starting date we will notify all teams and the season structure. We will do our best too accommodate as much of season as can all with government guidelines. Please still register teams online for Winter 2020.

The Kick4Charity 2017 is a Futsal Charity event to help raise funds and awareness for both Mental Illness and Pancreatic Cancer.

The one day tournament will be held on Saturday, December 9th at KIKOFF Harbord Bowling Club (who have kindly donated the courts for the day).

Both the Livin Charity and Pancare Foundation are supporting the event along with a host of local businesses who have donated to the day.  There will be raffles with big prizes on the day along with food and plenty of Futsal action.

The event will be taking Open Mens, Open Ladies and Open Mixed teams.  The $300 entry fee from each team will all go to charity.

Can’t see your draw?  That means we have not yet made the draw – we sometimes wait to see if we can get an extra team or two to avoid BYES etc.

Live, breathe and play futsal at this fun 3 day training camp* at Sydney Academy of Sport. Run by professional futsal coaches, the camp is a great introduction to the game as well as an opportunity for more experienced futsal players to hone their skills.

Participants will be taught the rules of the game as well as learn technical and tactical skills before getting to play their fair share of the game.

Cost includes:

• Coaching for 3 days
• Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch each day
• Playing shirt
• Water bottles.

What to bring:

• Futsal training gear
• Either futsal shoes or runners
• Sports tape (if required)
• Shin pads
• Sunhat (with name clearly marked)
• Swimming costume
• Beach towel.

*This is not a residential camp. Camp runs from 9 am to 5 pm each day.

We try our best to grade competitions the fairest way.

In most of our competitions where you see competitions named by colour (eg. Mens 5 Blue, U6 Gold etc) this means the competition will be graded after 5 rounds.

The top teams from each division will make the top division for that age group, with the bottoms making the lower division/s.

An example of this:

Please note some competitions have more than 2 competitions (eg U9 Blue, U9 Gold, U9 White), some with 5, 6, 7 or 8 teams.

It is the NBFA’s final decision to grade the competitions and will make divisions seen appropriate to that competitions needs.

For example not all competitions will take the top 4 from each to make division 1, it may only be 3 (for a 6 team competition).

The representative season is upon us once again and Breakers FC will be entering teams in the NSW State Futsal League (SFL).

The SFL will only feature Mens, Ladies and Youth Men (U20) this year.  Trial dates are as follows:

Sunday 12th October @ Curl Curl Community Centre  Abbott Road

Open Ladies  3.00 to 4.00pm

Youth Men  4.00 to 5.00pm

Open Men   5.00 to 6.oopm.

Sunday 19^th October  at Curl Curl  Community Centre, Abbot Road

Open Ladies  3.00 to 4.00pm.

Youth Men  4.00 to 5.00pm

Open Men  5.00 to 6.oopm.

Please note all representative trials and games are play on an indoor court.  All are welcome to come down and trial.

The NBFA has over 3000 players which equates to just over 500 teams playing in our Summer Competition.

Add all the parents, coaches and managers and you have a healthy crowd to be advertising to.

We have over 10,000 hits per month on our website during our peak time in the summer season.  Players, coaches and team managers are constantly checking their competition draws, results and table standings on our website.

As the season draws to a close most competitions will be entering into their finals over the upcoming weeks.

The finals format is as follows:

Semi Final 1: 1st v 4th
Semi Final 2: 2nd v 3rd

Final:  Winner of Semi Final 1 v Winner of Semi Final 2

Your competitions finals will be the played the following week after your last scheduled round (provided there are no catch up games).  The NBFA will look to play the two semi finals and final in the same night.

Depending on court space and times the NBFA will envisage to play both Semi Finals at the same time across 2 courts so both teams get an even break before the final begins on the same night.  All teams will be phoned once the finals draw for your competition has been made.

The Northern Beaches Futsal Association will be holding a school holiday camp these upcoming school holidays.

Here are the details:
WHEN:  Monday January 20th to Thursday January 23rd
WHERE:  Warringah Recreation Centre – North Manly
COSTS:  $250 for 4 days
INCLUDES:
– 6.5 Hours of training per day (9am-3:30pm)
– NBFA Futsal Academy Shirt
– Morning Tea
– Certified Futsal Coaches
– Certificate of Completion

Over the 4 days the camp will teach the basic skills of Futsal.  We will also cover positioning, attacking and defensive drills.  On the final day we will run a mini World Cup and present eachparticipant with a Certificate of Completion.
